Refund and Returns Policy

This policy explains how to return products bought from ap9engineering.com, operated by AP9 Engineering OÜ (registry code 14182238). It sets out your rights as a consumer under Estonian and EU law.
Two separate rights apply to your purchase, and this policy covers both:
- The 14-day right of withdrawal — return the product for any reason within 14 days.
- The 2-year statutory liability for defects (pretensioon) — claim remedies if the product is defective or does not match its description.
1. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
Under the Estonian Law of Obligations Act (VÕS § 56), you may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason.
How to exercise the right
Send a clear, unambiguous statement of your decision to withdraw to info@ap9engineering.com before the 14-day period expires. You may use the model form at the end of this policy, but you are not required to — any clear written statement is acceptable (letter, email, or other durable medium).
We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal notice by email.
Returning the goods
After submitting your withdrawal notice, you have a further 14 days to return the goods to us at:

You are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a trackable service — we cannot process a refund for goods that do not reach us.
Condition of the returned goods
You may unpack and inspect the product to the extent necessary to confirm its nature, characteristics, and functioning — the same way you would be able to examine it in a physical shop. If the product has been used beyond this, we may deduct an amount from your refund corresponding to the reduction in value (VÕS § 56² lg 4).
Refund
We will refund the price you paid for the returned goods, plus the original standard shipping cost, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice. If you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard service, we only refund the cost of the standard option.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or proof that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.
Refunds are issued using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees for the refund.
When the right of withdrawal does not apply
The right of withdrawal does not apply to products exempted by VÕS § 53 lg 4, including goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. All parts currently offered by AP9 Engineering are stock items and are covered by the 14-day right of withdrawal.
2. Statutory liability for defects (2 years)
Under VÕS § 218 lg 2, we are liable for any lack of conformity — defects, damage from production, or failure to match the product description — that becomes apparent within two years of delivery. If a defect appears within the first six months, it is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery.
How to file a claim
Send a written claim to info@ap9engineering.com within two months of discovering the defect (VÕS § 220 lg 1), including:
- Your name and contact details
- Order number and date
- Description of the defect
- Photos or other evidence
- Your preferred remedy (see below)
We will confirm receipt and respond within 15 days (TKS § 24 lg 5). If we cannot respond in that time, we will notify you in writing and set a new reasonable deadline.
Available remedies
Under VÕS § 222–223 you may, as a first step, request repair or replacement of the defective product. If repair or replacement is not possible, fails, or would cause you unreasonable inconvenience, you may request a price reduction or withdraw from the contract and receive a refund.
Costs of repair, replacement, return shipping, and materials arising from a valid claim are borne by AP9 Engineering.
No commercial warranty
AP9 Engineering does not offer a separate commercial warranty (müügigarantii) on top of the statutory rights above. Your rights under Estonian and EU consumer law are not affected by anything in this policy.
3. Out-of-court dispute resolution
If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, you may refer the matter to:
